2009 Event Summary

In 2009 we increased the size of the event dramatically. This decision was made due the overwhelming response throughout the year after our 1^st-annual event. With the help of some amazing additional sponsors like Sandos Resort, San Andres Water, Alltournative and the Municipio, just to mention a few. We were able to add two new parts to the event; The Health & Wellness Pavilion and the Natural & Whole foods Restaurant. Each new feature brought about new interest in the event.

In 2009 the event was hosted on the 5th Avenue or “La Quinta” courtesy of the Municipio and thanks again for all the support. With over 3000 attendees on December 5th the Think Green Eco Expo was a success yet again. After much appreciated feedback from the event, we geared up to plan this years 3rd annual event. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our marketing plan was based 80% on the internet; any printed materials used were printed on 100% recycled materials. On location we used solar and wind power to supply the event. We wanted to become a neutral event at minimum.

Maramex, Playa del Carmen provided us with recycling bins for all types of recyclable materials and other waste bins were on site for non recyclable materials.
