COCO’S CAT RESCUE
Coco’s Cat Rescue is a non profit organization with a no kill policy, dedicated to reducing the cat population in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We achieve this via our TNR (trap spay/neuter and return) program for feral cats, and our rescue, treat, spay/neuter, and tame program for kittens under 3 months. We aim to find a permanent loving home for all the rescued kittens in our care.
We are also committed to education which encourages responsible pet ownership and challenges negative associations with feral cats and consequent cruelty. We provide free or low cost spay/neuter surgeries and basic pet care to those on a low income. Our long term mission is to greatly increase the number of animals that we are able to assist and expand our model to embrace other local areas in need of our services.
We are also proud to bring the “Cat Café” program to hotels in the Riviera Maya. The concept of the cat café was developed by the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA), to humanely address the problem of feral cat populations gathering around resorts. The Cat Café program has proven successful in a number of countries worldwide and we hope to extend the program along the Riviera Maya with the cooperation of Hotels and Resorts

Comercio Solidario Riviera Maya (CS) works for the sustainable development of the indigenous and marginalized communities in Mexico through representation and by generating incremental income through the distribution and sales by partners. This income is then used to sustain the representation and marketing efforts of CS on behalf of the primary indigenous producers.
Products with the label of CS have built in a minimum 10% margin on every product sold, which CS also uses to create sustainable development projects with small producers and indigenous communities.
